StreamCloud App Reviews
Great app! Two suggestions. Enable the use of Mac OS play/pause, next, previous buttons without Mac OS opening iTunes. Make a search option where we can search through SoundCloud’s database within the app! Thank you
Literally unusable
Crashes every time I open it. This is a new mac, too, so I’m not sure what the problem is.
This is an extremely buggy app that constantly shuts down for no reason. The only only functioning part of this app is the menu bar item. The menu bar is the only thing thats keeping me from uninstalling this app. Whenever I try to do anything on this apps window the entire app shuts down.
blank screen on app
i got a blank screen when i tried to install this app two times :(
Great and beautiful app
The app is really slick and minimal. Works really well. If it could play your favorites and playlists it would be 5 stars.
very calm white window. I really like it. But not useful for an application, that ought to allow me choosing streams or tracks. to speak clearly: I guess the app is broken. It plays my default stream when I hit the space bar (even when I try to fill the crash reporter) but shows nothing. When playing, I even cant open the "preferences". The dropdown always closes befor I can choose anything. Unusuable - therefore 1 star (and thats too much).
Just the Stream
The App shows just the stream, not your likes or playlist, so its not really useful
Need more options
I want to play my Playlists, see my likes. I need everything that is available on the iPhone. This Application is complete bullcrap. Sorry but true.
How did I survive without this all this time?! Brilliant work so far, repeat, repeat 1, media keys and everything else I always wanted from Soundcloud on my Mac. Please dont overload this one with features its such a great App already. Really looking forward to see how this will develop.
Runs great! Now i just need : -a miniplayer for the control center -the possibility to like, share the music -a SEARCH Field Than the app is perfect!!! Great work guys ;) I can’t wait for the future of this app… :)
love the look of it, but, the status bar is really buggy, it has 2 of the same icon and when clicked on one of them it an app crash happens and will bring up this window with options to report to apple about the app crash and underneath those options are some really strange codes..
Great! I’ve been waiting for a Soundcloud client
It’d be great to also have liked tracks as a list as well as the ability to like tracks, besides that PERFECT - keep it simple.
ok i wanna say this is great. would be nice to get to play specific artists or from what i have in my following list however still good regardless. one problem . the list of songs is off by one that is the picture /song title displayed is the previous song in the list.
I’d like to say that this application is amazing. It really is! However, there’s lots of things that could be improved or added. For example, you could add more functions that are integral to everyday use. For example, make full use of the connection to the soundcloud account, by adding multiple pages, such as one for likes, one for playlists, etc. That would be much, MUCH more useful for me. Having the stream integrated is good, but I don’t think it’s enough to make sure everyone keeps it. Another thing that would be extremely useful (or at least, I think it would be useful), would be to add the profile pages, including (but not limited to) Following, Followers, Groups, Tracks, etc. One last thing, it would be very useful to add a “Now playing: Song name” Function, just over the play progress bar. Nothing too flashy, just something that will enable me to know what I’m listening to. I hope you take this review into consideration, and don’t feel down if I’m sounding too demanding (which I may be). It’s great work, and super-useful. I’m just writing to give you feedback. Make what you will of that. -Darq.esse
This app can still play music and connect to your account, but the rectangular playlist shows up blank. Its exited by itself twice. The repeat button doesnt work. But Im okay with that. Id like to second the reviewer for the current version. Features such as "search" and "following" would be nice. Thanks! You are awesome for making a Soundcloud app!
A simple and strong app, takes your stream and allows independent control out of your internet browser. There definitely a need for the developers to add multiple playlists or ways to add tracks, as currently your stream plays from most recently added from those you follow. Its a good app to have but room for growth!
Its ok
The app is great however some of my songs do not appear in the playlist or in songs that ive liked. PLZ fix it
great look, very clean and hidden away which is great. Easy to use and set up which is also great. But it doesn’t load all my songs and i don’t know why. Uninstalled it, would be great if they could load all the songs. On the stream page it had only 2 and in my likes only 15.
What am I missing? Seems pretty straight-forward in interface, not a lot of features and options. But clicking on the play button does nothing. Clicking the play icon over a track image does nothing. Exactly how does such a simple looking app get to be so difficult to use? Uninstalled!
The app is straightforward and simple and plays either your Soundcloud stream or your favourites. There’s no way that I can see to make playlists, etc., but the ability to access the app via media keys makes it useful still. (i.e. you can just skip through songs without having to go out of whatever you’re working on). It has crashed repeatedly for me on a Late 2013 Macbook Pro running Mavericks, I don’t know how to re-create the issue. Sometimes it seems to crash the first time I play something, more often it crashes when I open the app while it’s been running in the background for a while. There are some similarities with the Musicality app, which allows you to access streaming radio-type services (Last.fm, Pandora, and Grooveshark) through a dedicated app which is essentially a mini-browser with a mini-player and media key functionality. That’s still my go-to when I need music without thinking too much about what I’m listening to, but this app may get more use once the reliability has improved.
