Good start, I hope updates make it more reliable

The app is straightforward and simple and plays either your Soundcloud stream or your favourites. There’s no way that I can see to make playlists, etc., but the ability to access the app via media keys makes it useful still. (i.e. you can just skip through songs without having to go out of whatever you’re working on). It has crashed repeatedly for me on a Late 2013 Macbook Pro running Mavericks, I don’t know how to re-create the issue. Sometimes it seems to crash the first time I play something, more often it crashes when I open the app while it’s been running in the background for a while.

There are some similarities with the Musicality app, which allows you to access streaming radio-type services (Last.fm, Pandora, and Grooveshark) through a dedicated app which is essentially a mini-browser with a mini-player and media key functionality. That’s still my go-to when I need music without thinking too much about what I’m listening to, but this app may get more use once the reliability has improved.
